Have you heard of the File Extension Dwg?  The DWG stands for “drawing”. The File Extension Dwg is used by the DraWinG files. These files are generated and viewed by a large number of Computer-Aided Design or CAD applications. These files contain information about the 2 dimensional and the 3 dimensional objects or blueprints in other words. This format of the DWG format was originally developed in the 1970s and later licensed b Autodesk. There have been 18 major revisions of the standard so far. The DWG format is natively supported by such applications as AutoCAD, PowerCAD, intellicad and others. Because of licensing restrictions there is no open-source software that works with it. However there are several free programs that allow either viewing or conversion of DWG files. These include the AutoDWG DWG to image/PDF converter, progeCAD viewer, Volo View Express, Bentley View and Others. With this File Extension DWG, the designers or the artist can use the tools of making their arts or drawings and also because of this extension file, many other programs were developed and enhanced to be able to used by the artist or the incoming new artist and perform their new insights.
